Ordering & Personalization
Five complete square frames — 10 pairs, 20 bars in total. You choose all five sizes independently from 4" to 12" in ½" steps, and repeats are welcome. A popular set is 5", 6", 7", 8", and 9".
You also choose Mini or Regular for the whole kit, one monogram design, and your monogram color.
Traditional monogram order: the left letter is your first-name initial, the large center letter is your last-name initial, and the right letter is your middle initial.
For Anne Blake Wilson, you would enter A, B, W — and the B renders large in the center.
Not at this time. Each kit carries one monogram design, applied to all five frames. If you would like a second design, place a second order or get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Six options: Classic (three initials, large center letter), Fishtale (decorative fishtail monogram, uppercase only), Skyline (tall deco letters with dots), Name (a first name in script), Single Initial (one large letter), and None for plain bars.
You will see a live preview of your monogram as you build your kit.
Eighteen: Yellow, Red, Blue, Gray, Black, Orange, Mint Green, Green, Army Brown, Dark Purple, Silver, Pine Green, Sky Blue, Dark Navy Blue, Pink, Magenta, Teal, and Electric Blue. The bars themselves are white.
Very close. The preview uses the same letterforms we print. Final letter spacing is optimized during production, so the finished monogram may sit a hair differently than the preview — always in the direction of looking better.
Contact us as soon as you can at hello@margaretscott.com. Because every kit is made to order, we can usually accommodate changes if production has not started. Once your kit is in production we cannot change it.
Sizing & Fit
Order bars that match your canvas — measure it and choose the same lengths. There is no need to size down.
- An 8" × 8" canvas takes four 8" bars (two pairs).
- An 8" × 10" canvas takes one pair of 8" and one pair of 10".
Kit frames are square, so pick the frame size that matches the canvas you plan to stitch on it.
The canvas lies flat on top of the frame and is tacked through into the bars — it never wraps around them — so the outside edges of the bars line up with the outside edges of the canvas.
Mini is ½" × ½" (13.25 mm) — light, low-profile, and ideal for small canvases, ornaments, and travel projects.
Regular is ¾" × ¾" (19 mm) — stiffer and more substantial, better for larger canvases and heavier work where you want minimal flex.
4" through 12" in ½" steps, in both Mini and Regular. Need something larger — just ask.
Frames up to 10" are included in the $100 kit price. Larger frames take noticeably longer to print, so they carry a small per-frame surcharge:
- 10.5" – 11" — add $3 per frame
- 11.5" – 12" — add $6 per frame
Only the frames over 10" are charged, so a kit with one 12" frame and four smaller ones is $106. The price updates on the page as you choose your sizes, so you always see the total before adding to cart. A kit of five 12" frames is $130.
Four. Bars are sold in pairs of the same length, so one pair is two bars. A square frame takes two pairs of the same size; a rectangular frame takes one pair of each length.
Yes. Both sizes are built to match the cross-section of standard commercial wooden stretcher bars, so they interlock with the bars already in your basket.
The Bars
Durable white PETG, 3D printed to order. PETG is tougher and more heat-tolerant than the plastics used in most craft products, so bars stay true through years of handling and travel.
Each end has an identical finger joint — two fingers and two channels. Rotate every other bar 90° and the ends interlock and seat fully, so the corners sit flush and the top surfaces stay level. No hardware, no tools.
Yes. Every bar carries its length on the face, so you can find the pair you want at a glance. It is included automatically on every bar, monogrammed or not.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Keep them out of hot cars and prolonged direct sun. They are not dishwasher safe.
