Margaret Scott Studio was founded on a simple belief: the tools a stitcher reaches for every day deserve the same care as the piece being stitched.
Tradition, reimagined
Needlepoint is a craft of patience. It is passed between generations, worked on over months, and kept for decades. We design for that timeline — pieces that feel familiar in the hand, hold up to years of use, and look like they belong in your work basket.
Our first product is a working frame: precision stretcher bars that hold canvas taut while you stitch. They are modeled on the classic wooden bars stitchers have used for generations, with finger-jointed ends that rotate together into flush, square corners. What is new is the precision — and the ability to make a set that is unmistakably yours.
Made to order, made for you
Every set is printed to order in durable white PETG, then personalized with your monogram in the color you choose. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a buyer. Your kit is made after you order it, for you.
Designed in the South
We design and produce in the American South, and we ship everywhere. The monogram tradition we draw from runs deep here — initials on the linens, on the silver, on the things a family keeps. Putting them on the frame that holds your canvas felt like the natural next step.
What comes next
Stretcher bars are the beginning. We are developing patented 3D-printed needlepoint canvases — the stitching surface itself — and expanding the collection for stitchers and the shops that serve them.
